1. Reserve Bank of India kept all the key interest rates and repo rate unchanged at 6.25% in its second bi-monthly policy 2017-18. However, RBI has slashed the Statutory Liquidity Ratio (SLR) by 0.5 percent to 20 percent.

8. Habibganj Railway Station, Bhopal, will become India’s first railway station to be redeveloped in a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode. The station redevelopment work in the railway station will be launched on 9 June 2017 by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu.
9. The world’s fastest elevator that can operate at a record breaking speed of 1260 metres per minute will be installed in a skyscraper complex building in China. The elevator has been developed by the Japanese tech company Hitachi.
