Board Of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh was set up in state of Uttar Pradesh in May, 1958. This Board organized its first exam in 1960, for programs of Diploma Level and also for Draughtsman Certificate Programs. In 1962, year of its beginning, the Board conducted the exam of about 2500 candidates, in three major disciplines of Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
